Denver Housing Challenge

This speculative proposal explores how affordability and design excellence can reinforce one another within Denver’s evolving urban fabric. The project advances a flexible, policy-anchored, design-forward system that delivers new homes on publicly owned land, enabling public workers to live in the neighborhoods they serve. It seeks to restore the reciprocal relationship between civic work and civic life: affordable, resilient housing within walkable, connected communities, that advance Denver’s climate and equity goals. Conceived as a scalable strategy rather than a single solution, the work reframes affordable housing as long-term civic infrastructure rather than a short-term fix.
