Santa Barbara Remodel
After designing a detached guest house / additional dwelling unit (ADU) for a family in Santa Barbara, the clients invited us back to rework the heart of the main house. The original kitchen was boxed in by walls that cut it off from the dining and living rooms, so we opened the plan, reconfigured the kitchen, and let the rooms finally speak to each other. We also revised the layout of the main bedroom, bath, and closet to maximize functionality and make spaces that felt better proportionally than the original layout. The result is a home that feels effortless, quietly transformed, yet unmistakably theirs.
